The outline planning application for the 110 hectare predominantly brownfield site includes:
The feedback from exhibitions, meetings with statutory consultees and reports undertaken by environment, transport and hydrology experts were used to deliver the masterplan for the site.
The aim is to create a scheme which is sustainable, delivers homes, facilities and jobs and reduce the need to develop on greenfield sites.
The Drakelow Park team is currently working on a reserved matters planning application for phase one. This will be the detailed application which sets out how the buildings will look, their size and what they will be constructed from as well as information about the new paths and roads and even the species that would be planted as part of the landscaping proposals.
